From 2 November you can start making bookings for 14 December onwards.

The campsite is well suited for kayakers due to the limited boat access. It is a perfect base to explore the islands by kayak.
The
Moturua Island Track is a 2.5 hr walk that takes in the four main bays on the island.
Notes

- You must take all your rubbish with you when you leave
- No cooking facilities
- No dogs
- No fires or fireplaces
- No solid fuels, liquid or LPG only
- No fireworks
- Water supply is limited. If water runs out, there is water available at the Urupukapuka Island campsites
- Moturua Island is now rodent free. It is very important to check your bags, food stores, tents and tarps for any rats and mice prior to arrival on the islands. For further information please visit the Guardians of the Bay of Islands website
- Argentine ant free. Check all gear thoroughly for infestations prior to arrival. Use fly spray on ants.
Getting there
Boat/kayak access only.
The four main bays, Otupoho, Waipao, Mangahawea and Waiwhapuku all offer safe anchorage for visitors. Anchorage is limited to small vessels only.
The campsite is located on the beach at Otupoho Bay. When arriving from sea, you can see the camp on the left side of the bay.
