Summary
Recreation and tourism guidebooks, magazines and other information sources encourage and
enable participation in a range of recreation activities in conservation areas. The Department of Conservation (DOC) acknowledges the important role other publishers have in facilitating leisure activities. It is important that the information provided by others about activities in DOC
managed protected areas is as accurate as possible.
