Great Barrier Island Aotea

Great Barrier Island is the largest island off the North Island coast. Learn about various walking tracks, campsites, mountain bike routes, and many natural and historic features to explore.

Hauraki Gulf islands & marine reserves

Learn about the Hauraki Gulf which contains more than 50 islands. Most are open to the public for recreation and relaxation however some are sanctuaries for endangered plant and animal species.

Motuora Recreation Reserve

Motuora Recreation Reserve is an 80 hectare island reserve in the Hauraki Gulf. Recreational activities include walking and swimming.
